Sweet treats for your sweetheart are quick and easy with these gluten, sugar and dairy free protein balls, rolled in the classic combination of strawberry and coconut to make every bite tasty and nutritious. Perfect to pack in your picnic hamper for a romantic night under the stars. Vanilla be. Health collagen is hydrolysed so it is the perfect substitute for vanilla extract or essence. That lovely vanilla flavour profile but with the added goodness of 8 essential amino acids. 

Ingredients

  • 100g (1 cup) rolled oats
  • 100g (½ cup) smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp freeze dried strawberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 10g vanilla be. collagen

To coat:

  • 2 tbsp freeze dried strawberries
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut

Method

  1. In a food processor add the extra freeze dried strawberries and shredded coconut for the coating and blitz until they are fine and powder-like. Set aside.
  2. Add all the protein ball ingredients to a bowl and combine well. 
  3. Roll into about 12 balls.
  4. Roll the collagen protein balls in coating mixture and then transfer to the fridge to firm up for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately or keep in an airtight container in the fridge.
